There is something about an early morning snow, whether you stay indoors drinking a cup of hot chocolate or venture out to see the sights. We chose to go out on the Ice Age Trail and visited a piece of the Holy Hill Segment. While it was absolutely beautiful, we learned a lesson on the benefits of having cleats on our boots while winter hiking. Walking sticks will not help you retain your pride as you pick yourself up from a fall on the ice. Cleats will be added to our hiking arsenal after today. Nevertheless, we walked out with some beautiful photos of the trail. Enjoy.

Love the trail, the pictures and the Nordic {??} sweater! Got new spikes for Christmas – Kathoolies. Hope you have some or find some that work for you. Ice and ground are pretty unforgiving, I know!
Hope no/one was hurt.
